We ought to know by now that the Bermuda Triangle holds a lot of the unknown. It raises many questions but does not release enough answers. According to Strange and Paranormal Activities, since the discovery of the Triangle, it has “as many as 100 ships and planes that have been reported missing, and taking over 1000 lives.” The disappearances of these transportation machines have led people to come up with theories that include the involvement of pirates, aliens, time vortexes, and a huge comet that hit the area containing disarraying electrical effects. The “Methane Hydrates” theory actually holds some plausible evidence. Methane hydrates are located beneath the sea floor of the Bermuda Triangle and when released to the surface they cause water to become less dense and thus possibly sinking a ship (Science Channel). When they hit the air they could cause enough damage to a plane to throw it off course or crash it (Science Channel). I just hope not to be another unsolved mystery as I sail further into research of this phenomenon.
